I was there with most of the KIX104 staff, watching down from the tenth floor of the Westport Gold Tower, when it was delivered into the parking lot. 1987 or so?
Mike Gideon, our Chief Engineer, built it out to become our remote vehicle and he did a great job. We all of us used it for appearances here and there.
The KIX104 Super Rolling Radio was sponsored by Vess Soda and hidden unknowingly from station creditors in the Vess back lot just off Dorsett Road in Maryland Heights. That's where the Post-Dispatch/Suburban Journal is printed these days.
I think I was the only person who was watching when the Super Rolling Radio was taken away by some station down South to help pay off the deep debt that the station had incurred.
