Radio spot disclaimers ...

Secret Squirrel slows down his listening and learns:

My pet peeve right now is high speed disclaimers on radio and TV ads. I heard a surprising one, I believe on KTRS, this afternoon. This one was worse than many. The disclaimer started at a higher than normal speed, and then actually ACCELERATED as the end approached! I've NEVER heard one do that before.

The worst one I've heard is a radio spot which is now running for Suntrup Nissan. The disclaimer is at a very high rate, which is unintelligible at that speed in its own right. But they also DRASTICALLY drop the level of the spot, which is VERY loud, when it hits the disclaimer. It's at a level that you have to strain to hear at all.
