Rick Dees' last show in Memphis ...

RKO Radio transferred him to their Los Angeles AM property KHJ from WHBQ Memphis in 1978.

Didn't take.  But he did make a big puddle of success at KIIS-FM.  Dee's show on KIIS was the first to earn a $1000 sixty-second spot rate.
