... early this morning via commercial jet aircraft to represent us at her brother's 50th wedding anniversary.

Lester and Laura LaPrade are two of the finest people I know.  Les is a retired Christian minister with  a remarkable set of computer and electronic skills.  He has been, for many years, the man whom I would consider my personal spiritual advisor.

I regret not being able to be there.  Hopefully we'll be able to join up via one of the several on-line meeting programs, for at least a little bit.
