While surfers of the Globe-Democrat website assumed the site was down for maintenance, the columnist learned more. Majority owner Dan Rositano had pulled the plug.  Lately, Rositano had been working for the Roberts’ Channel 46, re-tooling the sales department. Sadly, he was laid-off. Steve Roberts had previously expressed an interest in keeping the Globe afloat, but it became evident that the Roberts Companies had its own problems.
