... follows the other guy, I'll let that go here. We told you that Billy Greenwood would slide into the Gerry House morning show...now RadioInfo confirms it:
WSIX, Nashville pairs midday voicetracker Billy Greenwood and Karla Lawson for wakeups.
The life-after-Gerry House era begins Monday, January 3, with Billy Greenwood re-locating from St. Louis to Nashville and sitting across from “Traffic Queen” Karla Lawson. Also returning to Clear Channel’s country WSIX (97.9) is onetime PM driver Dean Warfield, who will be live-and-local in the 10am-3pm hours. Most of Nashville’s attention will go to mornings, though, and that load falls on Billy Greenwood. He’s been at Clear Channel's country KSD in St. Louis for seven years and served as the voicetracked midday personality on WSIX for the past two. He’ll team with 15-year veteran Karla Lawson (whose side venture is “Mommytime Radio”), and producer/WSIX weekender Zak Becker. Billy better keep chugging the Red Bull or his favorite vitamins, since he'll now voicetrack PM drive back to St. Louis and voicetrack for some other stations. New to WSIX middays is Dean Warfield, who once did afternoons there (a job now held by Big D & Bubba) and he's hosted syndicated shows such as "Country's Most Wanted." WSIX programmer Keith Kaufman acknowledges that "no one could replace Gerry" and says "I believe these moves are the most comfortable for the listener.”
UPDATE: The bolded line above has been removed from the RadioInfo release. Maybe somebody realized they'd better let BG concentrate on one thing at a time.
