Big League Broadcasting Exits Station Ownership

A two year dumping spree comes to an end from Big League Broadcasting, who announced the sale of their flagship Atlanta sports talker WQXI to Lincoln Financial Media. As it has not yet been filed with the Federal Communications Commission, sale price data is not available.

Big League began selling off their properties first with the sale of KFNS-FM Troy, MO to John Scheper and Steve Kaspar's Westplex Broadcasting for $480,000, followed by the sale of 1190 AM KRFT (Now KQQZ) to the Romanik family's Entertainment Media Trust for $600k last summer, and most recently the sale of their flagship St. Louis AM 590 KFNS "The Fan" to Dave Greene and James Oaklaus' Grand Slam Sports for $1.825 Million, just over a tenth of the price that Big League overpaid Greg Maracek's Missouri Sports Radio back in 2004.
