KMOX RADIO’S WOES ACCORDING TO BONNEVILLE’S GREG SOLK

Bonneville International senior veep of programming for the company’s 22 radio stations, Greg Solk, dined indoors at Il Bel Lago, where he hailed the company’s “fantastic cash flow” and “new riches from digital platforms.” “We will bring new visual products for use by our stations to bring people to us,” he said. “Other .coms don’t have the megaphone we have to connect to listeners.” Solk pointed out, that his company’s station, WARH-FM, “has one million listeners each week.” The conversation turned to former powerhouse KMOX radio of which Solk said, “It’s lost its way and never evolved. The station’s older demographics make it hard to stay with a fan base.” He added, that KMOX will likely in the future go to FM.

All righty, then.
