I'm not in favor of legalizing drugs ...

...but I've personally seen the palliative effect of marijuana on a lot of diseases, from pain suppression to symptom alievement to appetite enhancement, when all of these effects were necessary and only achieved with the use of cannabis. I should note that I have smoked pot but not since 1971 and, yes, back then, I did inhale.

There is no good reason why the use of (using the definition of reason) marijuna is illegal. It is demonstratably not a gateway drug and there are no true records of marijuana users committing acts of violence under the influence, unless you consider eating a whole bag of Chitos a violent act.

Sadly, there are huge records of the sellers of marijuana committing acts of violence, but that has everything to do with the greed of commerce and nothing to do with useage.

I guess, yes, then, I'm in favor of the legalization of, or, at least, the decriminalization of the use and possession of marijuana.  Make it, along with prostitution, legalized and carefully and medically supervised and taxed propositions, and we'd collect a huge amount of taxes and stabilize the national health platform.  Ignore the California Medical Marijuana Plan.  Just go retail.
