I can think offhand of about a dozen places in the industry in which I spent forty years of my life that are (or shoud be) considered truly sacred. Chicago's Tribune Tower, the home of the WGN stations and newspaper since the 1920's, is nearly at the top of the list.
Yeah, I know that this is a St. Louis website and should have nothing to do with a Chicago station. But over the years we've been a "feeder market" to Chicago stations and our KMOX has been a net afilliate with WBBM. So we have some relationship.
While Sam Zell's purchase of the Tribune Companies wallows in a sorry bankruptcy, his employees party like it's 1929. And in Col. McCormick's ofice. With a POS like Randy Michaels in charge.
