I'm told that he was offered his very own four hour daily show on XM/Sirius for $450k.
Please note: the offer was not that he would be paid $450k for the show, but that he would pay them almost half a million bucks a year to put his show up. And the syndicator wasn't yet discussing TerRad distribution; presumably that would cost even more.
You can read the trades for yourself and you can see what the syndies and SatRad are paying for. I understand the compulsion for making a buck as much as anyone, but when programming providers, from the sky down refuse to repurpose compelling programming on one channel or on many stations, well, it really starts to look like it's all over.
