Last week, I had the honor ...

... of dining with both Jonnie King (whom you may know from his time in STLRadio and elsewhere) and Ron Dennington.

Ron may be an unfamiliar name.  He's a St. Louis native who went on in radio to seek his fortune and wound up DJ'ing and programming for Bartel, Metromedia and other companies in a lot of big markets, including Chicago.  When I inherited the PD slot at WKKX here, Ron was among the parttimers, having become semi-retired because of vision problems.

Dennington was a great DJ, and a great PD.  Our lunch brought back wonderful memories.  Ron is currently retired and living in Bridgeton.
