YouTube to charge for uploads?

That's one of the ways Google's considering to actually make their video arm pay for itself. That, along with ads scrolling at the screen's bottom level, which already exists on videos that reach a certain level of exposure.

But it looks like MTV has figured out the magic formula: a five-second pre-roll combined with a ten-second lower 1/3 ad unit.

That's according to "Project Inform," a study unveiled last Wednesday by MTVN in cooperation with marketing researcher InsightExpress.
