Wow! Whoda thunk ...

From Editor & Publisher:
In a preliminary study, MORI Research polled more than 3,000 adults on behalf of the Newspaper Association of America to glean their planning, shopping and purchasing habits.

More than 70% of respondents said they "regularly" or "occasionally" read newspaper inserts. Within the past month, 82% of adults said they took action because of a newspaper insert.

I imagine that this is good news for sales at dead tree pubs. But contrary to this study, about the only coupons I use (or come in contact with) are from direct mail packages, like ValPak and grocery circulars I get in the mail and, occasionally, online coupons.

Where do you get your coupons from? Do you use coupons? Or do you, like me, plan your subsistence shopping around in-store specials?

Are the dead tree guys just whistling past the graveyard based on their self-commissioned and administered poll?
