New Rock Station on Air in St. Louis West Suburbs

Randy Wachter's Broadcast Enterprises, Inc. has returned its 101.7 FM in Elsberry, MO back to the air with the new call letters KXQX. Dubbed "fmx," the new station features an Alternative Rock format similar to the format that Wachter ran until earlier this year on 93.3 FM.

The 6,000 Watt Class A Signal can be heard for about a 40 mile radius around Elsberry including St. Charles, West & North St. Louis County, Lincoln, Pike, Warren, and Franklin counties in Missouri, in addition to Calhoun, Jersey, Pike, and a large portion of Madison County, IL.

As was 93X, KXQX will operate with little talk and few commercials. More information can be found on the station's Facebook site, and at the station's temporary website at 1017fmx.com.
