Our own Bob Heil, whose line of microphones has changed audio reinforcement in broadcast and ham radio and PA over the past few years, was responsible for the PA setup of the Who's Quadrophenia concert tour.  Here's a look at the gear he used and set up as a display at the Rock&Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
