Considered politically incorrect since the 1970's, this classic Disney video is available from MayanCastleDVD.net:
This is Song of the South as you know it. The Uncle Remus Tales brought to life by Walt Disney.
Brer Rabbit - The Laughing Place - The Tar Baby and, yes... Zip-A-Dee-Do-Dah. Complete and unedited. My, oh my. What a wonderful movie.
This disc contains the full length feature film, uncut and unedited. It has NO SUBTITLES, and is in english - region free and playable on all U.S. players.
The disc has become the gold standard of Song of the South DVDS . Other sites are selling this disc outright, or they have extracted the contents so they could re-package it with their brand names. A bad idea, because that destroys the elegant and easy-to-navigate menu screens.
I watched this last year for the first time since I was a child in the 1950's and it is still as loving a story and film as it ever was. Why it was ever condemned as racist is beyond me. Uh-oh! Don't throw me in the briar patch!
