This man knows more about Top 40 history ...

... than just about anyone else on Earth.  He's Richard Ward Fatherley, who some St. Louis radio fans of a certain age would remember appearing as KXOK's Millionaire, and working on the air as the station's Production Director and "full-time fill-in disc jockey."

Following his tenure here, he moved on to the Programming position at Storz' WHB in Kansas City and has been for many years engaged in a successful voice-over career.  You can't listen to a radio station or watch a cable TV channel for more than twenty minutes without hearing his distinctive voice.  You'll recognize him immediately once you hear him.

He's also the most astute student of the history of the format I've ever known.  For the past four years, he's helped with the production of the Annual Great Plains Radio Symposium at KSU and made a major presentation at each.

Here's his latest: Ten Storz Revelations.  It's twenty minutes long and would make a great listen as you eat your lunch at your desk.  It's an MP3 file and it'll fire right up as soon as you click on the link.
