Brad Pitt dropped out of UMO J-School ...

I think we already knew this ... or maybe it's BS.

Brad Pitt Dropped out of J-School Two Weeks Before Graduation

After Matt Lauer‘s “Today” show interview aired Thursday, actor Brad Pitt went on NPR’s “Fresh Air” where the Missouri native talked about his days at the University of Missouri journalism school:

Terry Gross: You studied journalism in college. What did you expect to become?

Brad Pitt: I wasn’t really sure. I was just investigating for myself — they have one of the best J-schools in the country.

Gross: This is, where?

Pitt: University of Missouri… It just came to the time of graduation and everyone — all my friends were committing to jobs — and I just realized I was not ready for that yet. I packed up my car. I didn’t graduate — I had two weeks left — and I moved out to L.A.

Gross: Why didn’t you finish those two weeks? I mean, two weeks is a blink of an eye.

Pitt: …I just felt I was done. I was done with it. I knew where I wanted to go. I had a direction. I always liked those moments of epiphany when you have the next destination.

Wow.  Did his family have serious money enough to piss away for this?  Four years at UMO costs how much?

UhOh, looks like it's true:

My wife was in J-School at Mizzou at the same time Brad Pitt was there. She knew of him only because he was always dating cheerleaders. She also heard, shortly after graduation, that Pitt dropped out before graduating.

The Paul Harvey “rest of the story” angle, though, is that Pitt has approached Mizzou on several occasions and offered to do fundraising for Mizzou in exchange for Mizzou giving Pitt his degree. Mizzou has declined that offer more than once.
