Whoever Hoyt Alden is ...

... here's his shortcake recipe, which is the way my Mom made it when I was a kid.  Make it, slice it in half horizontally, lay a little butter on each slice and cover it with sugared strawberries.  Top it all with real whipped cream.  YUM!
