Don Barrett's LARadio.com will close down September 24 ...

From TomTaylor:

... and it's a loss for a whole tribe of radio people. Don's idea of "L.A. Radio People" really helped create a sense of relatedness, even to people you might never have met in person.

Don himself get into radio at an early age and worked in Dallas, San Francisco, Detroit and Los Angeles. Then the L.A. Times says he got into movie marketing for Columbia, Universal and MGM.

He began LARadio.com in the mid-90s, tracking radio pros, telling their stories, and giving them a forum.

Now Don says "15 years was a great run", but the support for the site was declining, and he says "it's time to move on to my sixth career."
