Whither the wireless?

Let's talk public service.

Now that almost everyone has a wireless-compatible laptop, iWhatever or a SmartPhone, where can you publicly log in, using someone else's bandwidth?

Service areas ("Let's go out to the DMV..."), restaurants, libraries, coffee shops and bookstores that are wireless-friendly?

If you've got family or friends in hospital, which of them allow internet access?
