I'm not sure I get the usefulness ...

Twitter and Facebook are both promotional elements that make good sense to use to show the listener what's coming up next, and next and next again. Maybe not so often as to annoy.  But special events, contests and special music sweeps ought to be spotlighted.

Are these resources being used appropriately?  Do you use them?  Is radio so truly paralyzed that social media is wasted?
