Together, KTVI FOX 2 and KPLR 11 are proud to announce that they are the new broadcast television partners of Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis.
For more than 75 years, Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis has helped thousands of children with disabilities say “I can” by providing them with vital medical equipment, as well as educational, therapeutic and recreational programs such as the annual Variety Adventure Camp and Children’s Theatre. An international leader in fundraising, Variety the Children’s Charity also distributes grants to more than 80 qualified agencies throughout the St. Louis area to fund programs and/or services that directly impact the lives of children with physical and mental disabilities.
“This is a perfect match,” said Spencer Koch, President and General Manager of KTVI FOX 2 and KPLR 11. “Both of our stations have a long history of serving the St. Louis community, and we are eager to begin our partnership by offering this commendable organization year-round support.”
In addition, KTVI and KPLR will play an integral role in raising funds and awareness leading up to and during Variety Week (April 30-May7, 2010), the organization’s pillar fundraising campaign with events.
