Is KWMU over-asking?

A reader writes:

What are these guys thinking?! Right after we increased our donation we get a telemarketing solicitation to donate more money..... If KWMU had waited a few months I could have been in a more "giving mood".

And then there's the Juan Williams fiasco.

Does this local affiliate not stop and think that maybe a little time needs to pass before the "hat is passed around" again?
