In 1987, Baby Jessica fell into a Texas well ...

...and we were glued to CNN for the next two and a half days to watch her rescue. I remember jumping from my sofa and cheering when I saw her brought out safely.

I've been glued to cable news channels since earlier this evening when the Chilean miners began to be withdrawn from their prison thousands of feet beneath the surface.

As of 2AM, only two of the miners have been freed, a rate a litle slower than I thought the rescue would move, but the narrative and visuals are the most captivating live TV I've seen since 9/11.

God bless these guys and please provide them their release soonest from this terrible hell in which they've existed for the last two months.
