Happy 35th to Jason Michael Daniel Anderson ...

Yup, Son Jason, our youngest, turns the Big Three Five today.  After Mrs. A, Jason is my best friend.  He's a hard-working, home-owning, believes-in-America Conservative who would be much happier if he could just get the 'scope on his Mosin-Nagant zeroed in once and for all.

Jason's what they call an auto-didact.  His formal education ended at High School but he reads everything and what he learns, sticks.  He rebuilt a badly maintained M-N rifle, manufactured in 1948, into a superior hunting weapon, teaching himself a little gunsmithing along the way.  And he knows movies and pop culture through and through.  I'm very proud of what he's accomplished, even though he had to live in Virginia with his biological Mother for way too long.

We celebrated early this week, on Monday, with an afternoon of range time at the Busch Wildlife Range (and what a great place that is, for $3 an hour!) but were interrupted early by another one of 'dem damned family crises.  We'll reload and get back soonest.  My treat!

Happy birthday, Bunky!

PS:  Our daughter in KC carries and shoots a handgun.  The daughters here and in Virginia are still afraid of the noise.
