RadioOne draws down on management ...

According to Radio-Info, Chris Wegmann, current GM/regional VP for the company’s St. Louis cluster, will head east to oversee the Washington D.C., cluster, including recently re-launched urban AC WMMJ “Majic 102.3,” urban WKYS, black talk WOL, inspirational WPRS, and gospel WYCB. He'll continue to oversee both St. Louis and the Dallas market as well. Wegmann joined Radio One in March 2009. He replaces Michelle Williams, who exited in April of this year.

I guess this serves a financial purpose.  I don't know Wegmann but I do understand the kind of business pressures and responsibilities with which he'll be faced running three large markets. RadioOne is currently undergoing what might be best referred to as "financial stress" and handing these three markets over to one guy, however talented, just does not make a whole lot of sense.

But if it saves the company a few hundred thou, well, then...
