Part 1:  There's been lots of speculation here about the future of the Cardinals' broadcast rights next season. Here is the latest. There are only two possibilities on the radio side. Either the Cards go back to KMOX, or there will be a KTRS-WXOS simulcast. The decision will be made shortly after the all-star break. Right now the edge goes to the simulcast option. As for TV, all regular season Cardinal games will be on FSN, with the exception of the Saturday games FOX happens to pick up, or the select ESPN Sunday night telecasts. There will be no more free games on KSDK, KPLR, etc.

Part 2: Quietly and without any fanfare, KTVI has elevated Maurice Drummond to the #2 sports anchor-reporter slot behind Martin Kilcoyne. This knocks Rob Desir to the #3 position, not a particularly good sign of things to come for the often "difficult" weekend anchor who has less than a year remaining on his contract with the station.
