Google Voice Goes Public

Today, in a blog post, Google has announced public availability of their free Google Voice service. Big G assigns you one phone number (you pick the area code and have some input into the number) which you can set to ring on all your phones, receive transcribed voicemails, place low-cost international calls, and some other cool stuff.

Previously, the service was in an exclusive invite-only "beta" mode.
